I think 7 is fine to practice the game, but no cpu comes even close to playing against other people and if you're planning to play online doing it sooner is better than later. Hell, the next street fighter might as well combine world tour and battle hub into one, and make a massively multiplayer street fighter game. they can make a hub world/sandbox city for all the big country reps around the world, people can play a single player story, but instead of just npc's roaming around, other players would be in the world map. I wouldn't say tekken is inherently "harder" but it is extremely different than a traditional 2d fighter like street fighter. i would say go with whatever style appeals to you more but a lot of things you'll learn in tekken won't be carried over to other 2d fighters like sf or mk. just be aware of that. Lvl 7 and above are just fkn retarded. if you want to practice countering di, lvl7 for sure. also noticed if you get up on cpu lvl7 , it actually plays harder, you literally won't be able to get 1 input in. i would say lvl6 cpu is good for actually practicing/learning a new character. pros can beat lvl8 , but they still have to work for it.
